The Welsh Fencing AGM 2010 was held last Sunday, 4th July, in Llanidloes.

There were a number of changes to the Executive Board.  The details of the current Executive Board, and the Chairman's report, can be found here.

Urgent Message from Welsh Fencing Chairman......

Please help us to raise extra funds to help send the Welsh Fencing team to the Commonwealth Fencing Federation Championships in Melbourne at the end of September. We have selected a strong squad with some real medal potential, but the costs of travel and accommodation are both high and team members/their families will have to raise considerable funds in order to compete.

Welsh Fencing has already contributed a large sum from its reserves, but most of this will be taken up by the obligation to pay for team officials, referees, entry fees and other core costs.

Welsh Fencing Clubs and individuals can all help by supporting team members from their own areas or by general fund raising for the team as a whole.

Welsh Fencing President, David Mort, has offered to chair a small fund raising sub-committee and would be delighted to hear from those of you who are both willing and able to assist with this effort.
